what to wash together?

What diapers are ok to wash together? What should be washed separately?
Like do PUL covers need to be washed separately from prefolds and fitteds?

Re: what to wash together?

When I started, I hand washed my covers to keep them looking like new (well, also because I only had two, and couldn't wait for a load of laundry). But I eventually came to the realization that it's all used to catch pee and poo, so I should use my time for something more important. Now everything goes in the wash together!

Oh - except for wool, unless you are my dh, and then, even wool does (he just washed a wool cover on hot with the diapers for me). Amazingly enough it still seems to fit...but I wouldn't count on it with most wool!

The only thing you might want to pay attention to is drying time on various diapers. I have a couple bulky internal soaker AIOs that dry WAY slower than the rest of my diapers (pfs and home made quick-dry fitteds and aios). Because it's only a couple, I just take everything out when the bulky AIOs are still a bit damp and set them out to dry (and use them last). That way the rest of my diapers don't get stiff or rough from overdrying. If I had more than just a couple of the slow drying AIOs, I might have to pull the faster drying stuff out first, and then put the still damp stuff back in for another 30 min or so.

prefolds, fitteds, aio, covers, pockets can all get washed together.
i only use prefolds, covers and pockets but they get thrown in the wash together.
