Washing diapers today!

After my nieces birth yesterday...umm I'm not even sure I'm leaving my house at this point. It was a disaster!! I'm so pissed I feel like driving the 600 miles to Huntsville just to chew out the maternaty ward.

Re: Procrastinators Unite Part 2

I'm washing diapers tomorrow I had to catch up on regular laundry and clean out the baby's bassinet sheets and carseat. Now that being in the dryer and all my "non-baby" to-dos for the day are done, all I gotta do is find that darn hospital bag!

Preregister at Hospital
Talk to HR about disability and FMLA
Install carseat - have it checked by FD or PD
Wash the used dipes I've bought.
Get something for dirty dipes - still can't decide on bag or pail!
Go on a date with hubby
Buy things off our registry that we need but didn't get.
Take maternity portraits (yeah, I'm going to try to do my own!)
Finish up a list of things at work so I'll feel at peace when I go out.
Buy and install closet door for nursery.
Buy and install curtain rod for nursery.
Have hubby build a shelf for nursery.
Make a few more meals for the freezer (yay! My mom made some and is bringing them to us this weekend!)
Clean - living room, kitchen, dining room, bathrooms (mom might help with that this weekend too!)
Pack the hospital bags!!!
Finish the "who to call" list (I have the names down, just need to gather some more phone numbers).
Go to work everyday m-f until I have baby.

There, I did 2 things tonight... packed the bags! finally!!! and got the list of who to call together. I read on my one board of "pg buddies" that one had her water break this morning and she had NO signs of going early... so it kicked my butt into gear to at least get THAT done

Finish washing and sorting baby clothes
Put all NB/small clothes in dresser
Finish sewing the crib set
Get cosleeper set up
Buy some nursing bras and nursing pads
Hem up some flannel wipes
Wash covers to bouncy and carseat and put both back together
Wash NB stash
Finish organizing closets and craft room
Install carseat
Pack hospital bag
Make some freezer meals, or at very least a detailed menu/shopping list for DH
Gently remind DH to shampoo upstairs carpets, esp the nursery
Make baby announcement list
Make backup babysitter arrangements for toddler
Pack toddler's overnight bag

Well, I got a few things done. Hopefully I can get more done tomorrow!

I'm taking an extra set just because I keep thinking of my friend whose water broke so her clothes were a mess by the time she got there... I'm just going to toss a pair of jeans and a t-shirt and a sweatshirt into the carseat and then when hubby goes to get the carseat the day of discharge, my clothes can come in at that time too - not something I'll actually need while we're staying there, so no need to put them IN the hospital bag.

Re: Procrastinators Unite Part 2

Keep up the progress mamas! Woo!!

Ooooh, I just saw "preregister at the hospital" on a list above - I need to do that too! I'll do it at my next appt on the 25th! Thanks for the thought!!

Today:
I prepped ALL the diapers.
I set up the bassinet (need to find the pad for it though).
Put the headsupport in the carseat and installed the carseat DH will be surprised..

Now I need to go that darn hospital bag I've procrastinated all week.
*resolves self*

So here's the list as of now:
Before Baby Comes To Do List:

Complete nb/small stash
Buy a storage container for dipes
Buy a pack n play
Sterilize baby bottles

Sterilize nipples/rings
Buy a bassinet
Make a baby registry
Sell older vehicle
Buy and set up crib and mattress

Buy a carseat
Buy the house
Install Carseat into vehicle

Paint Baby's Room
Buy a rug for baby's room
Prep all dipes
Get wool wash and lanolin

Get trash can and pail liner/s for dirty dipes
Get breastpump
Clean Bassinet sheets
Pack 3 hospital bags (me, DH, baby)

Preregister at the hospital
Find that darn bassinet pad

Go mommytaylor! You're rocking along there. I think you've inspired me a little more to get a few more things on my list and crossed off. Now if I could just find some energy around here, LOL!

I'm sorry to hear about the flu! I'm just getting over my two week episode myself. Sudafed definitely helps, but not enough! Get better soon!

Almost forgot - go get some Breathe Right strips. I couldn't sleep without them.
