Xander is almost 15 months and still going strong. Actually he is currently nursing more than ever right now. He's getting over a stomach virus and wants to nurse seriously like every 15 minutes. I only have one boob that works so righty is REALLY sore. I can't even switch off.

I love this thread it kindof normalizes (is that a word) how natural it is to bfing a toddler...

I still occasionly bf my 3.5 yr old (I guess hes a preschooler now) ... but it far and few inbetween. He only really wants it if he gets hurt....

I used to! I nursed my dd until she was 21 months and stopped when I dried up when I got pg - I miss it SO much!

That is Great!

Sage is almost 28 months, up through 27 months we were nursing on demand, about 5 times a day. With the start of school (I teach full time) we are down to 2-3 times a day, morning, and then when we get home and/or before bed. Not much milk left, I was on Domperidone for 20 months for low milk supply, I have Crohn's disease and the true purpose of Domperidone is to increase digestion and motility so for me going off of Domperidone means about 6 fewer trips to the bathroom a day. So nice but I am sad that it is leading to weaning. I am setting limits on nursing away from home and it cracks me up. We will be out somewhere and Sage (she has a language delay and calls it Geeky instead of Milky) will say "I geeky! Go HOME!!!!!" She is very emphatic about it and very insistant, I crack up because other people have no idea what it is she wants and will stare and stare at her.

Maia nursed to 24 months and 2 weeks, I was 8 weeks pregnant and had emergency surgery followed by a 28 day hospital stay. It was a sad abrupt weaning.
