Loving Touch Wet Bags

Tell me if this sounds right..please.. :)
Ok, I think I've been having contractions. Here's what's been happening...
I feel like muscles along the lower side of my belly tighten (just a little bit) and as it moves down towards the pelvic area it gets stronger and stronger, almost like a really really really bad PMS cramp. Also, my lower back will start to hurt a little bit and my belly gets hard. Am I having a contractions? I'm pretty sure they are, just from the symptoms and for the fact they've been happening every so often. It's definately not the baby moving, that feels like something completely different. What are your thoughts?

Re: Tell me if this sounds right..please.. :)
Well, last night they weren't consistant at all, tonight, the last 3 contractions have all been 10 minutes apart. I'm wondering, how many times do they have to be 10 minutes apart before I call the doctor? I'm an hour and a half away from the hospital!

Sounds right to me!
See if they get more consistent with how far apart they are. Do they get stronger, longer and closer together? Generally speaking, this will help you determine true labor.

Re: Tell me if this sounds right..please.. :)
I too am 1.5 hours from the hosptial I am supposed to deliver at. (1hr 20 minutes from the nearest so it doesn't make a big difference) but, I was still told 5 minutes apart for 45 seconds each and I laughed because my last labor was under 2 hours! So I will be going when they hit about 8 minutes apart and 30 seconds long or my water breaks, whichever is first, and as long as you let them know how far away you are, they usually dont' send you home if you are having timeable contractions.
Good Luck mama!!! Lets get these September babies here!!
