Know what I'd really like? A little tutorial somethingorother for newbies.

It would make my day if, upon joining, newbies were given a run-down on the various forums and which kinds of posts belong where. I feel like Diaper Chatter is getting bogged down with craft questions, WAHM show-offs, WAHM testing questions, etc. Seems like there must be some confusion as to what belongs where and maybe a tute would be helpful. I think I may have rec'd a few reminders of what to post where, when I was starting out. Maybe it'd cut down on the mods' work in moving/PMing people?
Just a thought

Just wondering, would it be a huge PITA to make that info part of the confirmation e-mail, or part of a separate e-mail that gets sent out at the same time as the confirmation e-mail?

Good idea!
Also, the little alert flag--ok to use it to report posts in the wrong place (like product testing in diaper chatter or craft questions in there), or only seriously inappropriate posts? Just wanna help get everything in its place--it's the Virgo in me

There def. needs to be something, because there is so many things in the "wrong" place it makes it hard to sift through it all.

You can use the report button for siggies, posts in the wrong place, etc...pretty much anything that needs MOD attention

I'm glad to know that, too. I've wanted to get posts moved from Diaper Chatter but didn't want to be super annoying about it. Thanks!
