Embroidering PUL

I have been thinking about sending some of my FBs and prorap covers out to be embroidered but am hesitating because I am worried about them wicking afterwards. For anyone who has embroidered PUL, does it wick? How is it still waterproof after being embroidered? TIA!

They may be spraying a waterproofing spray inside, and you could also purchase some to touch up the underside of the embroidery for later. I know that some places use a thick fleece for waterproofing abilities and some places use another piece of PUL and seal that on there.

They have waterproofing spray?!?! Where have I been...

Where do you get some that is safe for use with babies?

If that is the case then I may just cross stitch them myself

Some ladies get theirs in the sporting section of Wal-Mart, I don't recall the name though and maybe somebody else can come in and tell you. I found something similar to that in ****'s sporting goods. It's a tent resealer and is waterproof and wash proof.

It's called Atsko Seam Sealer - our sporting goods store sells it too. I have no idea how it works, I've just seen this posted before.

I'd be interested to know about how to seal embroidery too. It seems like it would be best to be sealed with PUL over it, but not sure how that could be done either.

Re: Embroidering PUL

I ordered an embroidered wonderoo from jamtots and she put an extra layer over the embroidery inside. We never had any issues with it wicking.

HTH!
