washcloth/wipes question

we've been using baby washcloths as wipes and I like them a lot and will probably continue to use them for that purpose.

however, we were also using them for baths and I no longer like them (ds is 15 months). they seem thin or scratchy... and I don't like any of my larger-sized adult washcloths to use on DS either.

can you suggest a good sized (like regular washcloth) wipe/washcloth that I could purchase a few of to try as bath washcloths? I like the look of T&T. I also want to support WAHM, not a traditional business.

feel free to spam me with what you make yourself, if you would like.

thx ~

Re: washcloth/wipes question

I have gotten some larger wipes from cathiasplace here on DS.

I have also gotten some smaller wipes from SAHMTo2, but I think that she offers a larger size as well.

I think that both of them maybe be serged, but I'm not really sure of the difference in that and T&T.

I love Tangy's wipes: The mystery fabric is ultra soft. They're serged, though. Also check out the WAHM Wares forum because there are quite a few WAHMs selling wipes there. Otherwise I'd just say use a regular, adult washcloth.

Re: washcloth/wipes question

Someone (maybe drenotdoctor?? I can't remember) made me some to order, in a washcloth size that are terry/flannel. I love them!! We use them mostly in the kitchen for meal clean-up, but they would work great in the bath, too. Honestly, I love the little character washcloths from the Disney Store ...they are really soft and the kids like the character aspect of them...they are the kind that are shrink wrapped and open up when you put them in the water...I always buy them for stockings, easter baskets, and goodie prizes!

Re: washcloth/wipes question

I have a sale going on now. See link in siggy. 7x7 sherpa/velour are my fav for bath's!

I have two kinds up fs now. Flannel/sherpa w/ free shipping or sherpa/velour buy 2 get 1 free + shipping.

Free Dixie Drops solution sample with purchase! Comes with product guarantee as well.

ETA: I make 8x8 or any size you want! LOL I surge them and secure the ends so my wipes won't fray or look messy after one wash like others can. I pre-wash the fabrics so there is no shrinking or color bleeding. They are uniform and clean looking too. I love the way surging looks over T&T'd wipes. Surgers cut the edge a bit and that's how you get that clean look.

I can do custom orders as well. If I don't have something on DS or on my HC that you like there is a link to my webpage in my ds post ("my wipes are on sale click here"). You can pick any flannel choices and any backing choices. I have natural sherpa, blue sherpa, a tiny bit of pink sherpa and velour in pink, blue, lt green, dk green, red, iris/purple too.
