Help with staining please

I have never ever had staining issues until now. We recently moved, so I'm sure it has to do with that. We don't have hard water, but we had a water softener in the old house, so harder water than before anyway. I do 2 cold rinse cycles followed by a hot wash and 2 hot rinse cycles. Even if I wash immediately after changing a poopy diaper, I still get stains. Our washer and dryer are brand new, if that makes any difference. Any ideas?

Have you tried adding baking soda to the first rinse to soften the water?
Has sunning helped?
Tide Free works best for us in keeping the stains at bay.
You may end up putting a water softener in at this house just for the sake of the diapers!

Re: Help with staining please

When I started adding baking soda to a cold pre-wash cycle (along with about a 30 min - 1 hr soak), all my stains dissapeared, even the yellow breastmilk poo stains that had been there forever and I thought would never go away. We have super hard water here, so it makes sense...

I've heard sunning works wonders, but I've never had to do it.
