I think the girly middle name to go with the masculine FN thing is a good idea, that's what we did and I really love it. I'm also not a fan of the "filler" middle names like Marie, Ann, Rose, Lee, May etc... Here are some ideas:

ooey, i wanna steal whilder for a middle name-- lol! I had been looking for a middle name with W, because dh;s uncle was Randy William G, but my cats name is william, so that would just be weird, ya know? lol (well for aboy, but we cant use randy for a boy)

i love everyone's suggestions!! I was thinking of Leigh, and I also considered Jean, but i have to talk to my mom about Jean-- its her maiden name, but she doesnt speak to her father, and well, i dont speak to him either (wife beater that almost killed my grandma) so Jean is up in the air
