Didn't REALLY think it'd ever happen to me....

But I was asked to put a blanket over my baby's head today at GOLDEN CORRAL while feeding. Luckily we had just sat down, so I got my money back and left.

I'll never eat there again. I'm going to mail them a nice letter.

My server said she knew who "told on me" and pointed him out calling him "grumpy" when he walked in. He was some old ugly man....what a loser.

I'm still angry and in shock. I can't believe how frustrating this feels....

So needless to say I had to stop feeding G halfway through and leave, so she screamed in the car all the way home (luckily that was only a few minutes as we live right up the street).

My poor baby....

So add crappy GOLDEN CORRAL to your list...along with Applebee's. I'll never eat there again!!

Could you just say no? I've never been asked to cover my baby, only if I wanted a blanket, and I refused (this was on a plane). I always wonder what they would do then. Ask you to leave? I'm not sure what I would have done in your situation, mamma. I'm sorry this happened to you.

It sucks, I'm more assertive but I know some people aren't. and sorry you had to deal with this! I would make sure to get that letter out asap, we don't go to golden coral any more anyways.

Mama! Sorry that happened to you guys. Do send them a letter... hopefully in the future they'll train employees how to deal with such situations correctly.

You know, I've been tossing that around in my head since I left. And I think my initial reaction was that I was so profoundly disgusted at the manager, the person who "tattled" and the whole place altogether that it just didn't cross my mind to actually want to stay. I didn't put a blanket over her head, though. I just got my money back and left. I'd much rather go home and nurse my daughter so that she doesn't have to sweat, breathe in carbon dioxide or be frustrated with not being able to see everything....than stay and duke it out with the manager.

This was my first experience with this so maybe next time I'll have a monologue prepared because right now I can think of a hundred things I'd love to shout at him and others!?

I'm so sorry! I'm not sure what I would do in the same situation. I don't plan on going there anytime soon.

Hey!! Do what some mamma's did to Walmart . . . call LLL & they'll organize a 'nurse-in' and from what I hear, they will nurse & show lotsa boob just to make a point!!

It's frustrating to be confronted like that, mama! I didn't get confronted until nursing dc#5 at a church nursery. So sad that people are so 'grossed' out by a nursing baby, but then those people are probably oggling naked breasts at home anyway!
