I didn't mean to offend...I just wouldn't be able to justify spending that much on a toy. I think it's beautiful and I'm sure she put a lot of time and love into the project, which is fantastic! I'm glad there are mamas out there who are willing and able to purchase such a gift for their DC.

I don't think any of us meant offense. I'm in awe of that kind of talent, and it is no doubt BEAUTIFUL. It's just way too expensive for my blood, that's all!

Wow, that looks like a ton of work! I so wouldn't have the patience to make something that intricate.

I don't think it is that expensive. Waldorf dolls cost $100 or more. I just bought one for my dd, and within 2 weeks one of her blue markers leaked all over the arm and leg. So now she is part Smurf. Oh well, toys are meant to be played with, you know? I would have wasted my money if she just sat on a shelf looking pretty for all time.

My mom knits and crochets shorties, longies, toys, and sweaters for my kids, so I know how much time it takes and how expensive the materials are. Just the wool alone is $20 for one pair of shorties, and it takes my mom 2 days to make if they are crocheted, and a week if they are knit.

If I charged what my time is worth I'd never sell anything, lol. I bet that sweet toy took a long time to knit and she's a great designer, very well done

And can't you just see a little one's eyes light up as they grab his huggable stuffiness and give him a big old smackeroo? Or is it just Isabel who bestows hugs and kisses on her favorite stuffies? I so badly want Tolstoy to receive some of that lovin', but as much as hubby agrees it's adorable, once it went over $50 he put the kibosh on it
