Inserts Help!

Ok I am new to CDing... NO laughing!!

I have Hemp babies for overnights (bigger babies for my toddler and the smaller one, you fold into 3rds for my little girl) and a few of the just strip (I dunno what they are called) inserts...

Do you use the hemp insert WITH another insert? I have cottonbaby inserts... I have been putting both inserts in, is that correct?

what other inserts are good? I love CBs... I want to get some more hemp I only have enough for 2 nights and with 2 kids sometimes they are not dried by the time I need them ...

Help me out please!!!

I'm not familiar with Hemp Babies, but if they are pockets or pocket fitteds you can put in just hemp or you can add microfiber to it inside a pocket as well (microfiber doesn't go against baby's skin it can dry it out quickly).

There are lots of different shape inserts in lots of different materials. My fave is contoured inserts. We have to use microfiber with hemp as ds pees too fast for the hemp. So we need a layer or two of MF to soak up the fast flow and then the hemp to give the super absorbing power it has.

Well i don't have a heavy wetter, so this is what i use in my pockets (thinking that is what you are using, hence the word inserts?).....During the day i can use one microfiber insert, i use swaddlebees or tail feathers diapers (i love the microfiber swaddlebees inserts, they are the most absorbant microfiber inserts i have)....then at night i use a microfiber with a hemp behind it and it works great for us. I think using microfiber with hemp is a great combination, absorbs very well!!

Your system is the exact one I use at night when I don't have one of Leo Baby's inserts clean. I put a microfiber insert (like CB) over my Joey Bunz

My favorite hemp insert is Happy Heiny Hemp Stuffins. I also really like Joey Bunz Hemparoos. They both absorb really well for us. I do a hemp microfiber combo during my son's heavy wetting times (night and morning). For microfiber, I use either microfiber towels (mine are from Target in the auto section) or cottonbabies micro inserts.

The Swaddlebees inserts another poster mentioned did not work for us at all. We had major leaks! Good luck figuring out what works for you.
