Re: Want to hear from all the CPF/covers users!
we are a PF/wool or wiggle worm bottom cover users!
i have one ME airflow cover and i cant stand it bc his legs are so cubby that he gets red marks on his legs! so i have found the covers that have fleece on the leg binding work best for us. when we are home i use wool. for awhile when we went out i was using fuzzi fannies but im starting to use more PFs and WWB or my 2 good wools for outings. my PF/cover stash is: 18? unbleached indian/chinese PFs (im getting another dozen from the co-op) 4 WWB covers 5 shorties 1 pair of longies for nighttime 4 pockets for the diaper bag 4 lukes drawers for nighttime use the fold that works best for us is the angel fold w/a snappi. ive tried the twist and it seems to be to bulky for him in the wrong areas. good luck

Re: Want to hear from all the CPF/covers users!
I've recently tried the twist on Hannah. She doesnt complain and it actually lays pretty flat, not like sitting on a knot. Her premium cpfs actually fit 100% better with that fold and inspired me to buy some cutie covers. We usually use pockets, but I'm clearing out my aplix diapers and I dont have enough snap dipes, with the cpfs I can stretch my washing back out to every other day.

Re: Want to hear from all the CPF/covers users!
well....as i've said on so many posts lol i haven't cd'ed yet...SOON THOUGH WOO-HOO!!!! SO EXCITED!!! and i have to say, i got SUPER caught up in all the cute stuff and wish i would've w/my first instinct (pf's and covers) and saved us money. but oh well...i think i'll end up selling off most of our fitteds and ai2's, but i'm going to wait to see how they work for us first lol. i'll keep the few pockets we have though.
as far as folds go, i used my 3 year old to figure them out (even though he's trained he laid for me well during this process haha), i do have to say that with the twist fold....it did put pressure on his parts and make him stand at attention (i'm sure mama's of boys know what i mean lol) so i don't think i'll be using that fold!!! other than that it looked comfy. i don't know if it was just the fold or a combination of the fold and snappi that did this to him, maybe with pins it wouldn't. but i seemed to be able to get the best snuggest fit with the angel. this could all be different w/a newborn though!!!

Re: Want to hear from all the CPF/covers users!
CPF over here are well! We only started a few weeks ago, so we're still getting the hang of it. We use CPF for day and pockets for night. I like Bummis and Bumpy Day covers best. We have 7 covers (1 kept in diaper bag) and I do laundry every 2 days, sometimes less. Sometimes DS gets the covers dirty with poo, so we have to wash more often. We use the angle fold right now and have found the CPF contains 95% of the poo.

Re: Want to hear from all the CPF/covers users!
I use all PF's and flats. I have a few fitteds left over from DD that I will use occasionally, but I prefer the PF's and flats anyway. Right now, we're on a strict budget, so CD this time around means saving money. I really like the flats for the in between stages, when the preemies were not absorbent enough, but the infants were too big. Or when the infants no longer fit around the waist, but the regulars were way too long. Flats are even more adjustable than PF's, and very trim! But, I love my PF's too.
I like the Bummis Whisper Pants the best, but I also like the Bumpy covers. The Proraps only work for us if we trifold, and I generally don't like to trifold. I like the angel wing fold the best. I always had poop leaks with the bikini twist. |

LOL I've tried other folds and this is the only one I use now - so easy & quick & that's what I need w/a wiggle worm! I can take pics if you like for me to show you how I do it... but the twist is sort of between they're bum & their balls... then it comes up. I have a pocket in the back for the poo that's created by the twist... then the twist & almost another pocket is created. You can adjust the twist & sometimes after I've snappi'd I even pull the twist apart a little to spread it over DSs parts. Don't be afraid of it! LOL ![]() I've converted 5 people to CD in the past year & 4 of them use the twist that I know of. I'm not sure of the other person. |

Re: Want to hear from all the CPF/covers users!
The twist is the same thing as the bikini, right? I was sooo prefold lazy when I first started cding. I just started going full-on prefold because dd got a severe heat induced diaper rash. I finally got the hang the bikini/snappi! I use WWB covers. I have two now and four on the way. I was going to sell off my aplix part of my stash to replace them with snapped fitteds, but now I'm thinking of just keeping the money and maybe getting a dozen infant pfs for use at night. I have two dozen premium cpfs now. One thing I like about the twist is that it's easy to get it on initially. DD's a wiggler so that helps. Then, once she's on the floor and crawling around, I can grab her and adjust it without too much trouble. I cannot wait to get my dye so I can make them pretty!
