Boy vs Girl

We are going to start TTC, but i have a question

My husband really really wants a girl. Is there anything that we can do that would 'promote' an X chromosome for a girl?

I looked on the Chinese baby predictor and it looks like we wouldn't conceive a girl until March. I didn't really want to wait that long....

Does anybody have any ideas or experience that they would like to share.

Thanks so much.

There's a lot to timing. If you know when you'll be ovulating dtd BEFORE hand. The girly-making sperm are slower, but last longer and will already be there and waiting for the egg. If you want a boy, dtd at the time of ovulation, they are quicker, but don't last as long.

keep DHs scrotum warmer than normal, when you chart...start having sex 5 days before you O. That's about all I can think of.

Okay, another silly question

Just to verify, do you ovulate 14 days after the START of AF? What happens if there is 30-31 days from start to start of cycle?

So, then, do you just do it like 2 days before? or longer or shorter beforehand? and then not again?

Thanks so much!

5 days up until O? and then not again?

How do you chart? I only mark on the calendar when AF starts and when it ends. Should i be doing more?

Thanks!

You ovulate 14 days BEFORE af. Alot of people get confused because with a 28 day cycle it is right in the middle. Hope that helps

i highly recommend the book Taking Charge of Your Fertility, but Toni Wechsler. this will tell you all you need to know, including upping your chances on having a girl.

I was lucky enough to feel when I was ovulating. I know there is a change in mucous and body temp with ovulation. The egg white stage I believe is when you are most fertile. If you know when that is I would have sex the days leading up to it. If you have sex the day you O and the day after, I would think you up your chances of a boy...

What happens if month to month it changes from 30-31 days? How do you know when you ovulate then?

Thanks.
