The month we concieved DD indicated she would be a girl on several of the chinese gender charts and that she would be a boy on several others (it drove me nuts).

We just DTD on every day past my period.

Re: Boy vs Girl

We read the book How To Choose the Sex of Your Baby and consulted the Chinese birth calendar to conceive a boy... and we got twin boys! I still have the book and you can have it FFS. PM me if interested.

Basically male sperm are sprinters and female sperm are long distance runners. For a girl you want to have sex right before ovulation... for a boy, at or after ovulation when the egg will be closer to the "entrance" where the sperm start. Boy sperm die easily so hot tubs, tight underwear... all of those "bad things" to lower your sperm count lowers your chance of having a boy and increases the chance of having a girl.

It's all in the book

Chinese Gender chart doesnt work. It said I was having a girl and my little one is clearly a boy!

DH is killing himself laughing about the hot tub! He wonders if a "hot bath" everynight would help He's convinced he has 'super sperm'

Do a search on the "Shettles Method" it pretty much sums up what everyone else is saying It's supposedly fairly effective!

Not always the case either. I ovulate 12-13 days before AF starts. The range is something like 10-16 days--not always 14.

Re: Boy vs Girl

I have heard once that the more you have sex, the more chance you have of having a girl. If you hardly hve sex at all, you are more likely to get a boy if you do conceive. I have no idea of the reasoning behind this , but I know I have heard it before
