I'm not sure what the current reccomendation is, I think the 2nd round is still suggested, just not the "in labor" round.

I believe it is at 36 weeks, but I never made it that far and haven't had one

I am alittle confused..sorry!

I was only given it in L & D, so I am not sure when they would give it besides then. The dr said that since it can come and go, that giving meds during L & D were the only way to make sure it was covered. Is that what you mean?

I tested + with it with dd~does that mean I'll test + this time too? I'm completly ok with doing the IV/meds as long as my baby is ok. Thats what I did with dd and shes fine

No it doesn't. I didn't with the pregnancy after dd#2 who almost died from it. I was told that it was "active' randomly and wouldn't necessarily be showing up when they did the test. We then decided to skip the test and just do IV meds during L & D. I haven't had an infected baby since!

I would definitely.. without thought.. do the IV meds during L & D. I will with every future pregnancy.
