They actually aren't recalled, they are just ceasing sales and investigating. The current lot of slings could be fine, they are looking into it.

I bought mine in 2001 and it's held up great. Hopefully it was just a one time thing

I use mine everyday so this freaked me out, but it's a #552, so it's okay. Phew!

thank you so much for finding this info! I just ordered an organic maya sling and I was freaking out after it was shipped but when I got it in I realized that the one I got was ok! Whew!
