Gerber prefolds?

Has anyone else tried them? I found them at Wallymart here and they seem to be the only birdseye prefolds I can buy retail. They have cute girly or boy prints or white, but I thought they seemed thin. I'm going to try a few, maybe as pocket inserts. Has anyone had any experience with them?

I have used them. They're ok in a pinch as pfs,but I much prefer "real"pfs. You need to wash and dry them on high at least 5 times for them to be absorbant at all

They are not very absorbant. I would hold out for ipf's or cpf's unless you want to change after every little pee.

That's my opinion too. They are fantastic for burp cloths or wipe up cloths.

I have seen pre-folds online for 1.50-1.95 per diaper, which isn't too bad.

These are what my daughter wore for almost two years. I really liked them, and I didn't always use a cover over them. I think they are less than $4.00 per diaper.

The ones with the batting or the plain birdeye? Neither are very good imo. I have used them in a pinch, but they've pretty much become burp cloths around here.

Re: Gerber prefolds?

They're pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. I have never been so disappointed in all my life. They're enormous, bulky and carry about a teaspoon worth of pee before overflowing. Bad. Bad bad bad bad bad.

Did I mention they were bad?

I suppose they might be good as burp cloths...although they're pretty scratchy so I'm not sure I want to be rubbing one on my DS's face.

I think I'll draw little turkeys on them with magic marker and use them as Thanksgiving table napkins.

Ooops! Thanks ladies, you are too funny! I guess they would work under the dog water where we usually put a paper towel....
