That's Linus in my AV. His oldest brother's name is Spencer (which was much more unusual in 1993!). Before we settled on "Linus," we considered "Bridge" as his first name.

Re: The BEST Baby Names---BOY

My boys are
Kearnan William (Kearnan means dark warrior and William means Resolute protector)
Tharen Frost (Tharen means Falcon, Frost well obviously that means frost. He was born the first of December)

I also love
Leithan (of the Vikings)
Lucien
Adair (oak grove)
Setsuna

Tharen was supposed to be Leithan, but then I had this dream while I was pregnant and knew his name was supposed to be Tharen. If we have another boy he will probably be Leithan Scott. Neither of the boys names register on SSA lists, so I guess the likelyhood that they will ever meet another child with their name is very small. Though we have met one other Kiernan (Dh chose how to spell our son's name so it isn't correct ), and we know a couple of Kieran's. I have never met another Tharen, as far as I can tell it is a Surname that has died out entirely. But I enjoy having kids with original names.

Our son's mn is Milo. Not overly common and it totally rocks (we think)!

Other uncommon ones I like:

We don't vaccinate, we kept our sons intact, we use cloth diapers, we co-sleep, we extended RF, we breastfeed, but we watch too much tv and I totally dig plastic! Everyone has their issues, lol.

Re: The BEST Baby Names---BOY

My son's name is Jedidiah Isaac. The names mean (respectively) "beloved of G-d, he laughs."

I am a fan of Old Testament names. Here are some of my faves, not all Old Testament:

Ephraim Ithiel (eff-rye-eem), means "fruitful" or "productive," and "G-d is with me."

Solomon.. it means "peace." (and actually, Jedidiah was, mythologically, the name given to King Solomon at his birth as a token of G-d's divine favor.. so it would be kind of hilarious for me to name another child Solomon.)

Abaddon... I don't know that I would ever name a boy this, though, because a: he'd end up being called "Abbie," and b: it means "ruin", "destruction," "destroyer."

Felix.. Felix means "lucky"

I like the names Jonah and Jonas, both variants of the same name... meaning "dove."

Tamarack is a good one...

I like Phineas... okay, maybe I only do like bible names, LOL...

Drake is nice...

and so many more! I think it's easier to find cool boy names than girl names, myself.

Re: The BEST Baby Names---BOY

Our sons are Oliver, Simon, and Harrison (usually called Harry) but I also like Sebastian, Rueben, and Linus. My DH only agrees on Sebastian!! We were actually going to name our second son Rueben until my MIL said she would send us a Rueben sandwich at the hospital if we named him that, and my DH changed his mind on the name. She actually sent us a package of Aurora toilet paper after we named our daughter Aurora. We don't have that brand where we live, but she did in CA. GRRRRR!!!!
