Diaper patterns? Where to find PUL? Soakers?

I have already started making wipes, and am looking to start with some AIO's or at least get some suggestions to what the best pattern is (doesn't have to be AIO's). I have been sewing with my mom since I was a kid (she is a seamstress). It just seems silly to me, because I KNOW I can make them... Fabric stores don't have much. When I asked if they had PUL, they thought I was crazy. They referred me to the hardware store chemical aisle! LOL Anyway, anyone have suggestions? And where can I find PUL? What is the best kind of material to make a soaker? TIA!

Check World Family Market. I think one of the stores sells PUL in colors there and I think they also sell Malden Mills Fleece and some other things. I know there are some other stores and free patterns (w/measurements) online, you just have to look.
I can't sew worth a darn, but that should help some.

Re: Diaper patterns? Where to find PUL? Soakers?

I buy all of my PUL from an ebay store. The seller is very nice and has a great selection for dirt cheap compared to most online stores. Her sellers name is playpenlady and the store is Daigle Fashions. She even sells cuts and combines shipping, five yards for 5 bucks.

I like to get my notions from diapershop.com. Very good prices and the guy, Eric, is nice too. I messed up when placing my first order and he was very obliging. I was surprised to reach him when I called the customer service line. They sell PUL and patterns as well.

There is a place online that sells all kinds of stuff for diaper making but I believe that it is very high priced compared to the above sources. The name is diapercuts.com, she does have great choices and a beautiful website too that is easy to navigate. You just click on outer diaper layer or inner diaper layer and she gives you her list of instock items.

There are also lots of PUL coops in the Yahoo groups. Just do a search for PUL and coop and a lot of them should appear. I'd go for the ones that have lots of members in them, that's a good way to know what you're getting into.
