Re: Spinoff when do your dc or dc's wake in the morning.

ds is in bed by 10 pm and sleeps until 9:30 or 10 if I let him. I usually wake him up at 9 am.

During the school year my 10 yo dd goes to bed at 8:30 and is up and 6:45. I get up to see her off at 7:30 and then go back to bed. I am not a morning person at all!

Re: Spinoff when do your dc or dc's wake in the morning.

My almost 15 month old usually goes to bed between 7:30-8 and is up by 5:30-6 (UGH!) I am NOT a morning person but I don't seem to have a choice any more. Putting him to bed later had no effect. During the school year I am up at 6 (I am a teacher) and although I would love to sleep in once school is out, he doesn't seem to care for it! LOL

Re: Spinoff when do your dc or dc's wake in the morning.

During the summer we go to bed later, sometimes we don't even eat dinner till almost 9pm. Dh has to work 5-6d/wk and is up at 6am. Jacob (8mos) or Joey (2.5yrs) usually wakes up around that time as well but Jacob actually falls back asleep! Joey will play quietly sometimes. Othertimes he forces me to get up! Nathen is up around 8am and would probably sleep later if he didn't have 2 little brothers. LOL And the twins aren't up sometimes until 9ish. I woke them up this morning at 9:15am and only b/c we had church at 10am. I'm ok with 6ish since I usually go to bed around 11ish, sometimes midnight but rarely later. I can't deal with the 1-3am stuff... UGH! That wipes me out for the rest of the morning. I drink a couple cups of coffee in the AM anyway and occasionally a Starbucks Frappaccino in the PM if we're out shopping so I stay pretty energized most of the time!

I am praying for sleep soon. My 8 month old ds goes to bed around 11 wakes at 2am and gets up for the day at 5am. He is so curious he rarely naps for more than 1/2 hour at a time. On the other hand I have to drag my teens out of bed at 10 or they woulkd not be seen all day. Lisa

Corey is up for the day anywhere from 3am to 5am depending on the day. Yes, that does say 3am! Chloe is up between 6 and 7am, sometimes she'll sleep in until about 730 if its a dreary day out.

Re: Spinoff when do your dc or dc's wake in the morning.

I am so NOT a morning person. DD used to wake up as early as 5AM. Ugh! Now, it's usually around 6:30AM (or we wake her at 6:30 to get out of the house on time). She goes down for the night at 7/7:30PM so she gets a decent amount of sleep.

turtle2who - Try putting him to bed earlier. It seems like it wouldn't work, but it does usually.

Re: Spinoff when do your dc or dc's wake in the morning.

We call Bruce our farmer boy. He used to get up around 5:30 now he gets up between 6 and 7. As soon as that sun is up he's up and ready to go. He goes to bed between 7:30 and 8:00. He also goes down for a nap. So, it's not too bad. I would love it if he got up between 7 and 8, then I could sleep that long. lol

Jett is usually up within a few short minutes either side of 0730. He nurses regularly from about 0600 onward, then is up and rearin' to go.

He is definitely his happiest first thing in the morning.

Re: Spinoff when do your dc or dc's wake in the morning.

Let's see, my 5 y/o is usually up about 6:30-7:00 am (I'm guessing because I'm still asleep, lol). 3 y/o is up around 8:30-9am, and the 11 y/o is about the same time as the 3 y/o. The baby and I are up between 8-9am. The younger boys go to bed at 8:45pm at night. The 11 y/o at about 10pm. The baby and I about 9:30-10pm.

Of course this will all change when the boys start school and daycare, and I start working again. There goes MY sleep, lol...
