Re: Who's AF is still MIA?

My af came back when dd was 9months old--but not regular intervals until we wened her at 12months.Only because we wanted to TTC#3 and I have to take RX'S to ovulate and get preggo(did not want this in my milk)I probably dont count either because I have PCOS. Currently TTC AGAIN (after our angel Gracie was lost in June)---The next LO we have I PLAN TO DO CHILD LED weaning and will be happy with my family sz,we,ve been through enough!

Re: Who's AF is still MIA?

What is it that causes no af anyways? Anyone know? Is it just from the high prolactin levels? But, that can't be it if some of you are getting it when feeding so often... We are seriously thinking about ttc again, and I'd love to be able to get pg and allow him to continue nursing but it's looking like in my case I'd have to wean him first.. I'm already 35 so I'd really like to have another in the next year or so if possible -- yet, I do want him to self wean, if possible... kinda in between a rock and hard spot.. I envy those of you that were able to get pg while nursing..

Re: Who's AF is still MIA?

AF came back to me the day after DS's first birthday (which was last month). I have no idea what will happen this month!! I'm kinda hoping she forgets about me for a little while longer!

8mos and no AF yet. And we are down to only 4 feeds a day!!! (every 4hrs-ish during the day and none at night)

Its the higher hormone levels (progesterone mostly) that keeps it away. But everybodys threshold is different, which is why some people get periods after only a couple months and for others its longer.

Re: Who's AF is still MIA?

My first ds was 15 months when I got af back for the first time and it was too funny too because I had my yearly scheduled for that day and af showed up for the first time about 2 hours before my appt, It didn't come back again for a few more months and then got regular again and I got pg about 2 weeks after ds self weaned at 20 months, we'd been ttc since af became regular again.
With my current nursling he's just shy of 6 months and no af yet this time either.
