Re: Should I cut DS hair?

I would trim it up a bit myself, but getting it cut isn't going to get it to lay down. My guy's hair actually started sticking up more once he got it cut. It's just so fine.

You can try aloe vera gel to slick it down. It dries like hair gel and is non-toxic. (Be sure to use the alcohol-free kind)

Well I know it won't stay down but at least it would be a bit shorter and not sticking up so high. Also the back is really long. I couldn't get a good picture because he kept trying to look at the camera, but you can kind of see it in the first picture how long it is by his ears.

if you want to do anything with it you can trim. my DS had sticky uppy hair too. i just embraced it and encouraged it to stand up now at almost 4 yrs old its finally starting to stay down when i put it down but most of the time he wants it spiked up

Try some leave in conditioner. My boys have unruly hair and it works so well. I keep brushing it periodically until it is dry. I'd just clean it up around the edges. He's adorable : )

I would just trim up the back and leave the rest. One of our LO's hair was just like that, stuck straight up on the top! It only lasted a couple of months til it got long and heavy enought that it laid down.

Cutie!!

Re: Should I cut DS hair?

I say no because I just adore baby hair. I'll probably cry when I have to cut ds's for the first time. 4 months just seems too early to me.

that said, if it's bugging you, hard to manage

Yeah his age scares me too expecially since he's always moving and the soft spot. I guess I'm not going to be cutting it. I'll just have to figure out how to manage it.

Re: Should I cut DS hair?

I say IF you cut it, only a little in the back (but I'm not a mullet fan). I ADORE stick up straight hair - my most recent baby girl has long hair that sticks straight up and I just think it is the RADDEST hair EVER!!! My other 2 were semi-bald as you can see in my avatar (thats dd2 at 3 mo).
