Help me fold Prefolds Please!

Make sure to bring the leg gaps (part that comes around the thighs) SNUG. I think the worry is you'll get it "too tight". And, I found I was putting the PF too high. Find the natural waist of your babe - usually even in the back with the belly button - if you get the rise correct, I find it's easier to get the PF pinned nicely. Keep practicing. Use a doll or stuffed animal if it helps. I've poked myself (I use pins) a few times - it hurts, but let me tell you, I'm much more careful and am working on speed. I tend to be a perfectionist with folding, sometimes you just get it on good.

My LO is 5 mos, weighs 18 lbs, we use trimmed regulars or regulars w/bummis covers. The infants are now too small

Im using preemie prefolds and proraps on ds2 (3weeks) and hes bf and I use the newspaper fold or bikini twist and have no problems with the leg area.

Im a big fan of the backwards fold. I cannot get a good fit with any other fold besides the backwards fold.

lay it like this in a thirsties cover



fold it up like this with the thirsties cover on and pull the tabs close for a snug fit. No spill outs so far and I know about explosive EBF poop. Check this out from an AIO



The Thirsties cover has always held it though. I've never used a snappi with the cover. I have occasionally got yellow contact where the onsie has rested against the leg gussett and it's just seeped from one fabric to the other. Not really an issue considering the alternatives
