Dye-ing prefolds
Can you dye ipf and cpf with Easter Egg dye kit dyes? Will it wash out in the wash or is there a way to keep them from bleeding? I've read that people have dyed wool and cotton with kool-aid, so I was thinking that the egg dye kits are pretty much the same thing, but I wanted to see what you all think before I try it.
Thanks! |

Re: Dye-ing prefolds
I think you can only dye "hair" (wool, silk) with kool aid. For cotton I would think something fiber reactive so it won't bleed in the laundry.

Toe Jam anyone? |
Re: Dye-ing prefolds
Koolaid only works on protein fibers wool, alpaca, etc. You need to use a different type of dye for cotton or other veggie fibers. HTH
