Re: Slow service or lost packages?

I find that mail often goes faster if it's out of state...I get mail faster from other places than from other mamas who live in So Cal!!

Re: Slow service or lost packages?

I'm in the same boat!! I have a total of 9 packages that I was to recieve over the last week and I was gone Thur-Sun but dh was here Thu got the one package and I came home Sat to check for packages and had 5 in my screen door, then today I get 1 more.. so I am waiting on 3 more 2 of which I know were just mailed or going to be mailed Sat/tomorrow and I tracked my last one which showed it was sent on 7/18 and it shows it was delivered on 7/21 @ 2pm... Um nope.. no packages were there since I called my cousin to check since I was not able to check until Sat. All my packages I got came on Sat so what is up with that??? paypal has my maiden last name and they will not change it unless I show my ID and send a copy in even though I sent in my marriage certificate to show it and they still will not change it so I made sure I had a change of address for my married and maiden name but the last 2 weeks we have had temp carriers so I have no idea... My missing package is 3 fleece and wool covers I won on ebay! 35.00!!! worth of fluff mail...

Re: Slow service or lost packages?

I think USPS is slow right now, or just screwed up. A priority package went out from TX last Tuesday and I still don't have it. BUT, a priority package went out on Friday for me from the East Coast and I got it yesterday! We're in Nebraska.

To top things off, we have a new mailman and he is slower than snot and has to back-track every 3rd or 4th house b/c he forgets things. I'm used to getting mail around 11am and now I don't get it until 3:30 or 4:00.

Re: Slow service or lost packages?

I personally haven't had any trouble with packages lately. I bought some longies last week, the mama sent them on Friday and they got here yesterday. She was in WI and I'm in IL...

Re: Slow service or lost packages?

I won some maternity capris on ebay 2 weeks ago and the gal said she mailed them a couple days later, priority, and they're still not here. Same state, too. I hope they're not lost, lost $, and I am growing out of my other pants!

Re: Slow service or lost packages?

I'm so sorry. I'd be bummed. Couple of things that I do that I think help with the speed of my outgoing packages and being sure they get there. I always mail them at the PO, not in my mail box. I add a delivery confirmation. I started doing that when I started selling things here. It's less expensive than insurance but at least I know who signed for it?

Let us know.

Re: Slow service or lost packages?

Well, I just had a customer LMK that she finally received her order. I sent it first class mail on 7/10.

Sometimes the USPS really sucks.

Re: Slow service or lost packages?

Everything seems to be running REALLY slow for me lately. On a rare and I do mean rare occasion. I get one that arrives in under 4-5 days!!

Sigh thats the postal system for you.
