When you add Calgon (liquid) in a front loader...
...do you put it in the spot where detergent goes or where the fabric softener goes? Also, how much in an HE machine? I don't want to overdo it.

Re: When you add Calgon (liquid) in a front loader...
It is supposed to be added with the detergent. I do not have a front loader, so I do not know how your machine works, but I would assume the fabric softener tray would not be added until the rinse.
For my top loader, I use 3/4 of a capful per full load. Sorry, I could not help more. I hope you find some good suggestions soon.

Re: When you add Calgon (liquid) in a front loader...
Well, I was a little confused because it's in the store next to the fabric softeners, so I wasn't sure if it was considered a fabric softener or not. I ended up putting it in the same compartment as the detergent, about 1/4 of the recommended amount for a full load. It helped with rinsing the suds out, but I switched my detergent at the same time, so I'm not sure which is responsible for that.

I add about 1/3 of a cap with my detergent every few washes and it seems to keep things under control-stinkies that is from buildup.
