Could I get pregnant at 6-7dpo.

My husband and I had unprotected intercourse at 6-7dpo and now my period is late.
took a test 2 days before period was due with negative result.
what are the chances of pregnancy do far past ovulation?
thank you in advance.

Re: Could I get pregnant at 6-7dpo.

I would say the chances of you becoming pregnant 6-7 days after actual ovulation are pretty impossible. However, it *is* possible that you didn't ovulate when you think you did, which would make pregnancy possible and also explain your late period. (A later than normal ovulation will cause your period to start later than normal, as well.) Sometimes the body will gear up to ovulate with fertile signs and even a positive OPK-- and then not release an egg. When that happens, the body may try again a few days, or even a couple weeks, later... which has caught many women off guard in the family planning department. Best of luck to you either way.

A late period can be related to many other causes like stress, physical effort, medication, infections, etc .... Sometimes it`s more difficult to conceive than everyone thinks.
