Re: What brand of bottle & paci would you recommend?

Soothie bottles are great, we use mostly Avent to supplement bm bottle feedings....Soothie and Nam paci's too.

I used Avent bottles and he has a Nuk Paci made by Gerber. He now uses only sippy cups.

We use Soothie paci's for Miles, and those are the only kind he'll take, so far. For bottles, we use Playtex VentAire wide bottles, and he's had no problems with them.

I bought a bunch of different kinds thinking that my son would only like one. I was wrong, he'll take any of them. I like the Avent ones the best - cheap(ish), easy to find and clean. He was a little picky about pacis (and doesn't take one very often); like the Avent pacis, too.

I like evenflow glass bottles (since it does not have BPA) and also the medela bottles (because they are also safer). I also like to use the Nuk silicone nipples with them. When my LOs got bigger I used the Nuby sippy nipple with those bottles. 2 of my 3 kids used pacifiers. We liked the Nuk and the playtex orthodontic. I had issues with DS with the soothie. For some reason he sucked on it different - they gave it to him at the hospital. I had forgotten to tell them not to. He was so into that one it was hard to break him from it and he was sucking in the same style when I nursed. It was killing me Finally broke him from it.. tried the nuk and things were better

I liked the Playtex nursers.

I pumped until my son was 17 months old. I only did it when I was at work. It was no fun for me. I wouldn't do it just to allow my husband to be able to feed. There are many other ways he can help out. Just my though.

We have had no problem with the Avent bottles and Soothies.

I use the Advent bottles/nipples. No real reason except they're what the store had at the time and baby likes them.

For binkies, we just have the green soothies the hospital gave us. But, baby isn't a big user-maybe once or twice a week.

We use Avent bottles - no nipple confusion or anything for us. My guy also only gets bottles at the sitter (I work one day per week) and very rarely at home.

As for pacis - my guy loves the Circo (Target brand) one. I figured out that that one is silicone, like the Avent bottle nipple, which he seems to like better. we had tried the hospital one for a long time before that but I think he didn;t like the latex maybe.
