Re: What brand of bottle & paci would you recommend?

didn't read other replys.. but as a LLL leader I reccommend no pacis and only Medela bottles. the baby has to work hard to get the milk out and it is most like a mothers nipple the way it works.
Please consider that the dad can do more than bottle feed your baby. Feeding baby at breast is best whenever possible.

Re: What brand of bottle & paci would you recommend?

we use dr. browns...I like them ok...Emerson doesn't care

we only use the soothie paci...we tried different kinds, but she just spits them out

actually, mostly now, she jsut spits out the paci too...she likes her fist better (she is teething)

No nipple confision here...I BF exclusively and DH gives bottles at night (I work evenings)

Daycare starts i12/1, so it will be bottles durin gthe day (I think around 3) and then home for nursing...

Re: What brand of bottle & paci would you recommend?

Neither of my children would "take" a paci (thank gawd!!) and as for bottles Half Pint (DD) wouldn't take to *any* bottle (luckily I was a SAHM for her first year of life) and Chipmunk took to the Breastflow bottles... which is what he still uses. I really love these bottles because the nipple mimicks the breast so well. Chipmunk has to curl his tongue around the nipple just as he does around my breast.

We use Dr. Brown bottles for my school days, and Olivia does just fine with them. No confusion whatsoever, but they are a pain in the rear to clean. I'd try something else, but can't justify buying more 4oz bottles when we have 3 perfectly good ones here.

I really like Avent bottles. They worked great for us.

Re: What brand of bottle & paci would you recommend?

Ds would take any bottle until he was about 4 months, then he refused them all. We transitioned to a sippy cup. He didn't get them very often. As for dd, she never had a problem with any bottle.
Pacis were different. Ds would only take the soothie. DD didn't care until she was about six months, then she wanted the mam brand.
