On the Evenflow site you had to hit a teeny tiny "next" to get to the Classic Glass

Re: which bottles for pumped milk?

DS won't use anything but Avent. I had spent like, $45 on the Playtex Nursers (and really liked them because of the ease of the bag and whatnot) but DS refused. Plus, since we had so many latch problems, our LC suggested that we only use Avent, anyway. The general rule is that the nipple should be wide at the base, and the actual nipple part should be up to the top joint in your pinkie finger for breastfeeding babies. This rules out a lot of bottles out there, but supposedly those are closest to the breast and easiest to latch onto.

I used Playtex, but DD and DS didn't really use bottles much. With DD I used Playtex disposables and silicone naturalatch nipples, and with DS I use Playtex ventaire with silicone naturalatch nipples. Neither one liked latex (I think it must have a funny taste.)

When I was having a hard time finding a good bottle for DD I did see these bottles on www.onestepahead.com that are actually shaped like a breast, the whole bottle is, not just the nipple. I was going to try them if avent didn't work, but thankfully they did.
They are called the breastbottle, kinda cool I thought!

Yeah, I'd go with either the breastbottle or the Playtex with NaturaLatch silicone nipples. Those are both super easy to switch back and forth with. I've tried A LOT of bottles. Playtex is my favorite. I was not fond of Avent bottles. The nipples were too stiff and the collars leaked like crazy unless you got it on just right. I also like the Playtex bottles because you can get a kit that includes a pump adapter so you can screw a drop in right onto your pump. It's a super easy system and is great for the occasional bottle.

Re: which bottles for pumped milk?

I used playtex with my first and hated them since they leaked. (Though I am sure they've changed their nipples since I used them)..I was planning on using them with my second child but accidently offered her an avent one (I was using the avent manual pump at the time) and she loved it. Figured after a nightmare trying to get my first to take a bottle, I'm going with what she liked.

This is my fourth child to use the same avent bottles. It's great since the nipples last pretty much as long as you want them to. I do recommend skipping the newborn nipples since they don't come out fast enough and the baby can get annoyed. I bought the next step up which is either 1m or 3m. I usually don't bother replacing until next baby needs them.

Re: which bottles for pumped milk?

DrBrown's are the BEST! I've got so many of my friends hooked on using them! They come in either the big or small nipples. They're more like bf'ing because they don't create a suction like other bottles. (Like when you drink out of a coke bottle and it start to "cave in". ) It also prevented my dd from spitting up and having such bad gas!

Re: which bottles for pumped milk?

We only used Avent. I guess it depends on the baby as some won't use some bottles, KWIM? I used those little Avent storage bottles in the freezer too for a stockpile, I liked those - I never had a leak with one because of the connector. I had many a leak with the regular Avents, though, LOL. I kept all of my Avents and will use them with the girls if we do - save money and all and they were my favorite. I just hated the Playtex ones, although I couldn't tell you why anymore, LOL.
