Re: is there a FF forum?

By the way- I get support and answers to my formula feeding questions on another board- and there are a lot of women there talking and asking questions- and for a lot of us the support is around our inability to breastfeed- for many reasons and the guilt that we have around that choice that for many of us- doctors already made for us. If they won't allow the FF forum here I will give you the other websites info!

i say get rid of the BF forum and call it something else so FF moms can go there too.

That being said, can we PLEASE have this forum..we are not having issues with our formula, but with my first child, we had to go through so many different kinds, he has food allergies, had reflux, stayed sick all the time, and somehow his formula aggrevated everything!

So I think it's a great idea to have this forum, I had a ton of problems FFing my first after my milk dried up, so I totally feel for these FFing mamas that have problems/questions...I wish I had someone to talk to when I had problems!!
I'm glad you posted, because as a mama who's only BFed her babies I really didn't know about the problems mamas can face with FFing their babies. You've made the best argument, IMO, for a FFing forum on this board. Especially if (as one of the previous posters pointed out) this is now also a "Mothering Community" as well as a CD community.

Please tell me I read that wrong, as this seems Snarky to me?

Actually, I think that would be an OK idea, I got in a bit too late in the game to CD my oldest, and while I am starting to "stock up" on cloth trainers for him, he's PLing, so I can't invest a lot into cloth pants for him right now...so please tell me that I read that wrong, that could really hurt a mama's feelings....

Ok, over

Thank you...it really was a trial, and thankfully, we are not dealing with it this go around, but I want to be there to help any other mamas/LOs that have problems...we saw specialists for a lot of things (my son STILL has 4 different drs) so I know a bit about a few things...I could maybe help some others, kwim?

Anyways, can a Mod weigh in on this?

it is nice to hear a mama who has EBF realize that we have issues too. i hear from a lot of bf mamas "well, how hard is it? you mix a bottle and that's it" no that isn't it.

Re: is there a FF forum?

That would be cool to be able to talk to other moms about FF. I would ask a lot of questions because we have so many problems with reflux and allergies. I generally don't ask those type of questions because I wouldn't want BF moms judging me and telling me if I were to BF he wouldn't have those problems.

Now that would just be asking for trouble. Kind of like having a circumcision for & against forum
