If we added a FF forum simply because there are some mamas here who FF, then we would have to add forums for any and everything, as you said, religions, lifestyles, pl'ing etc... I don't see a reason to constantly add more forums to DS, I know we are a "mothering community" now, but if someone wants to go to a board where there are a million different mothering forums they can go to MDC, I like DS the way it is
but there is a forum for bf mamas..i think both kinds deserve a forum

then with ur thinking then BF forum should be gone, since u dont want forums aimed at specific things.

Would that mean doing away with the BFing section as well so it would be fair?

I don't think the BFing area should be done away with but I also don't see anything wrong with a FFing section either. If this board can accomodate one group of moms who choose one way to feed why not the other group of moms who choose a different path?

this is a cloth diapering board- not that there is anything wrong with choosing to use sposies nessasarily but it is in place to support cloth diaperers....I mean this would be like saying I love my stroller on tbw...just not the right place for it ykwim

ok..that makes sense..i was afraid you were saying that it should just stay the same and the ff moms just shouldn't get a thread while the other one stays

Re: is there a FF forum?

I think a FF forum is a GREAT idea! It would have been really helpful to us because we BF and FF and I had a lot of questions about formula I wouldn't post in the BFing forum.

And no, it does NOT mean you'd need a board for "everything under the sun" any more then the creation of a BFing forum meant that.

DS is not an AP forum. There are a lot of AP moms here, but there are quite a few who are not. For each one that BF I'm sure we have a FFer here. Infants and toddlers spend quite a bit of their time eating, so no matter how that eating is accomplished I think it's definitely a good parenting topic for the forum to cover.

The name of the forum changed to "Cloth Diaper and MOTHERING Community". I think this request certainly qualifies.
