Diaper Swappers

ok, I feel silly asking this . . . but how often do you change your DC diaper? DS is apparently not a heavy wetter and if we have a cotton babies one size microfiber insert in he can go 4 hours with mo leaks . . . DH left him 6 hours one saturday when HE was in charge of diapers (I now remind him to change more frequently - he only changed him finaly when the damn thing leaked!)

I feel like I should be changing him more but if his bum is dry and the insert is still absorbing . . .

Depends on what diaper ds is wearing, but I don't go longer than 3 hours no matter what. On my 2 yo, sometimes we can go longer, bcs he holds his potty in for longer.

My DS is the same way. He generally stays in his FB for about 3 hours (I change him at every feeding), and he could actually go longer. I guess I just have good inserts and he's not a heavy wetter.

I change every 2-3 hours or when wet.

we use PFs and we go about every 1.5-2hrs.

Dd is a pretty heavy wetter so she is usually changed every 2 hours or so. Sometimes it can be alot more often, b/c I just change her whenever I notice that she's wet or dirty. Or for that matter when she takes her diaper off and says "potty, new diaper", lol!

My dd is a super soaker, but my diapers hold up pretty well. She usually gets changed every 4-5 hours. If we had to change every 2 hours, we would use sposies. I just go my bill for electricity (I live in southern calif. and every day is over 100) and it was 6 times what it normally is

. I know I run my washer and drier a lot so if I had to do that much laundry, it would be more detrimental to the earth and my bank account to cloth.

Teresa what dipes are you using?
My dd is a heavy wetter, so I change her as soon as I notice she's wet, or stinky. I think it ends up being 1.5-3 hours, just depends on the time of day.

Kolten gets changed about once every 3-4 hrs. It depends on him, too. He wears mostly fitteds and wool, if he's wearing a fitted with no cover then its about 1-1.5 hrs. and he's ready for a change.

My DD can't go more than 2 hours in anything. She is a really heavy wetter though.
