All 3 of my children have done and still do that. I think it's just a toddler thing.

Re: do your toddlers do this?

Yeah, The Kid likes to do that. He'll go in the pantry and pull out all 40 bottles of juicy juice (thanks wic for giving me more juice than I can possibly drink in a lifetime, lol) one by one and line them up on the living room. Then he'll take them and line them up in the room, then he'll do the same in another room and back to the living room again. In short, at any given moment there are several bottles of juicy juice in different stages of movement in my house. He also loves to line up dominoes and anything else small like that.

When dd2 was two or so, she liked to line things up by color or type. She doesn't really do it anymore and she's 3 1/2.

DS#1 didn't do this, but DS#2 loves to line up his trucks, ride toys, etc.

My 2yo does this, and I'm pretty sure her older sisters did it when they were toddlers. I think it's really cute. They're learning to put order in their world. Wish I could get my preteen to line her things up now! ROFL Her room is usually a total wreck.

Re: do your toddlers do this?

My son has been doing that since he was right over a year (he's almost 5, now). And he's very anal about it. If you move something in his line ever so slightly, he pitches a fit. He is very particular about a lot of things.

My DS does that and so does his cousin who is 5. For some reason the girls in the family don't do it as much as the boys.
