What are babylegs?

What are these? What is their purpose? I think I've seen pics and they look cute...kind of like leg stockings??

Yeah, they're leg warmers. They're great for keeping the legs warm without having to put on pants (which is very convenient for diaper changes and ECing parents). They are also a very cute accessory. They can go on underneath pants as well to keep the bottom of the legs warm, in between the pant legs and the socks.

I just wanted to say I didn't need babylegs for the warmth, but I really needed them for protecting his knees. So, I took some men's athletic socks, cut the foot parts off and zig-zagged around the cut edge on the top. Wish I had a picture of them. They worked great, and they only covered his knees. Perfect for us since it was warm outside. Plus lots cheaper than babylegs, and we found some socks in bright colors.
