We've used both and both did fine.

Re: Side Snaps or Aplix for stomache-sleeping super-soaker?
I find that diapers that wrap in the front or hip snap (SEZ) are better for us at night and naps. Side snaps don't fit our son as snuggly in the waist so I don't find them as effective for night or naps.

Re: Side Snaps or Aplix for stomache-sleeping super-soaker?
I make my own pocket diapers for my daughter and I make them all side snap or side aplix and they work great for her during the day and 13 hrs at night. Side closing are the best!
