::UPDATED:: Should I be concerned?

I am 18 weeks pregnant w/ #2. We have not had an U/S yet, but have heard the heartbeat twice at 12 weeks (171) and at 17 weeks (168).

On Friday, I started seeing double and couldn't uncross my vision for several minutes. After this, I felt light-headed and had a mild head-ache. I called my midwife's office and they said not to be concerned, but if the headache got worse or my limbs felt weak, so go to the ER. (Their office was about to close).

Well, yesterday morning in the shower, I started feeling dizzy, then very nauseated and so light-headed, I thought I might faint. I knelt down in the water for awhile and it helped. I felt better after awhile and went on with my day, but by yesterday evening, I was feeling very dizzy again (started around 5:00) and light-headed and had a heachache. I got very nauseated again and had to go to bed. I couldn't even eat dinner.

Then this morning when I work, the dizziness wasn't as severe and the neasea was mostly gone, but I realized I did not feel the baby moving last night and have not felt it move this morning either. I usually feel the baby before I go to sleep and when I wake. This has been consistant for a week and a half--maybe even two weeks.

I am feeling concerned. My only option for care right now is to go to the ER, and I don't know if it is that severe? I am always afraid I am over-reacting. But I want to go if that's what the baby and I need!

What do you mamas think? Is this something I should seek care for immediately, or should I Just wait it out and call the office tomorrow? I am a little bit scared. I never had a lack of movement with my son and so far with this baby it has been good and strong, too.

Please help me decide...

-Molly

I would be concerned with the dizziness, maybe it is your blood pressure?

I had this thought, too. Is this worth going to the ER for? I keep hearing myself saying: if you wait 24 hours, you can call the office...

Why don't you drink some OJ and lay down and see if baby starts kicking? Also, could you be dehydrated? That happened to me once (dizzy, funny vision, off-balance, headache) and my dh luckily guessed dehydration and put me to bed with a HUGE glass of water. Within an hour I was feeling better. Good luck!!

Re: Should I be concerned?

To me it sounds like your blood sugar is too low. Hypoglycemia has those symptoms. OJ is perfect for this or anything with sugar and lay on your left side and relax.

Re: Should I be concerned? - UPDATE

Thanks so much for all of the advice, ladies! We didn't have any OJ, but we did have white grape juice, so I drank some of that and a big glass of water and lied down. I am feelng better and was feeling some good, strong movements for awhile.

I am so glad. Thank you so much!

Now I am just going to rest and drink some more water.
