Question What's the best wool????

I am venturing (back) into the world of fitteds/wool, and would LOVE something soft & durable (especially for overnight since that is mainly when we will use it). I had babyology before & hated how scratchy they felt, but loved the way they had extra padding in the wetzone for overnight. Any thoughts? What are your faves? Where should I buy (besides ds lol)

THANKS mamas!

Re: What's the best wool????

Personally, I think custom wool is where it's at. I'm kind of a wool junkie, tho, so take me with a grain of salt

I currently have wool from Woolful Comforts, Willy's Woolies, The Royal Ewe, Luxe and Pickle Pants, with more wool coming from Little Liam. My favorites are crocheted - Woolful Comforts and Pickle Pants - because this seems to create a denser wooly. Linda from Willy's Woolies knits, but she knits a really tight wooly that is just bulletproof at night. The crocheted wool is also totally bulletproof.

Re: What's the best wool????

as far as types of wool or brands? type, i really like bfl for softness and holding up, i havent tried targhee though im seeing where thats really good as well, im getting something targhee soon so then i can see what the difference is

you can find a wahm who makes a double layer crotch area, there are a few i know that, i just honestly dont know which ones as i havent been looking really since i generally buy at sale times from wahms.

do you want to know anything else?? or did i even cover what you asked? lol

I'd say Tiny Birds Organics Soaker Shorts fit the bill! If you want colored ones, Little Beetle has them! HTH

Re: What's the best wool????

I use knitted wool soakers at night...all merino wool. They are a pretty tight knit, though. I do love my crocheted shorties, but it's so hot here we only wear shorties during the day, b/c DS is an oven at night!

I love BFL, especially "Big Blue" from Wooly Wonders by Nada. Sarah over at AK knit me a pair of shorties from it and it's so soft and thick!

I hope this isn't too spammy but I make a double layer wetzone shortie/longie. I'm booked solid though, lol...
