when to go to the hospital? miscarraige?

i started a new job today, and was on my feet for 7 hours.

i have been feeling like ive miscarried...and now my stomach is hurting, im nauseus, im having alot of lower back pain, and i have the chills. i just cant seem to get warm.

TMI - ive had alot of discharge...that has been sort of yellowish in color. im on progesterone, so even if i had miscarried, i probably wouldnt bleed until well after the progesterone has stopped.

should i go to the ER and they can check me out...hcg, US...everything?

or should i wait until morning when the doctors office is open? and just go there?

i would say the pain is at about a 5 right now, and heat or cold dont seem to help...

I agree-I'd go to the hosp if even just for reassurance. Keeping you & your bean in my prayers.

Oh dear; good luck. I hope it's just a virus or something! If you are in a lot ofpain, you should go to the hospital and have it treated, if that's what you want; and hopefully find out what is going on.
I don't think being on your feet for 7 hours can be good for you, when you aren't used to it... I hope you can get some relief from that and still have your job, too.
Sticky baby vibes to you!

No bleeding is a good sign, sounds like you might have the flu though. Both of my m/c's began with a heavy feeling in my tummy, a mild backache and some cramping with dark brownish-red thick discharge that eventually turned to red flow after a day or two. Sorry if that's TMI, but it sounds like you are ok so far. Hang in there mamma!

Re: when to go to the hospital? miscarraige?

So sorry mama!! I think I would go to the ER too if you are in a lot of pain. If not, it could be that you just "over did it" with the very long day that you have had. I would definitely stay off of my feet.
It also sounds that maybe you picked up a virus or something. I had that early on and the entire family ended up coming down with the flu, then I got food poisoning. Hopefully yours isn't that bad.

Please keep us posted!

Re: when to go to the hospital? miscarraige?

I would wait to go to the DR but when I was M/C the ER treated me like a non person and belittled me and refused to allow my DH back with me till after the DR saw me.....So I know I am biased. I hope you are okay please update us.

Re: when to go to the hospital? miscarraige?

well i went in last night. my poor dh was up with me the entire time...he had to wait in the lobby until they ran all my tests...and then had to be to get ready for work at 3...he got an hour (if that) of rest. hes awesome

so they did an ultrasound and ran tons of bloodwork. my hcg has almost doubled (it was 9000 on thursday, it was 17000 las night) and the were able to see a heartbest on the US. i think i can stop worrying now...but my back and tummy are still hurting, and im quite nauseaus..

i think i just overdid it yesterday, and then on top of my prior worries...(no hb and measuring small on my first US) i just needed some peace of mind or i would have went nuts.

thanks for the advice everyone
