Re: CDing just great, until winter

I love wool long pants in the winter. You can get some recycled ones pretty inexpensively. They serve as the cover and the pants.

I also say I love Daisy Doodles for just that reason. We started CD last Feb and I hated how a FB didn't fit under her jeans. A DD fit her like a sposie. And as long as no poop, you can just reuse the shell- its an AI2.

I use either GAD's or SEZ pockets for a trim pocket with jean short or jeans. I don't have to size up much at all to get nice fit. I also love Children's places cotton sweat pants. Great for around the house and fit over all our cd's.

Good luck with # 2~

I live in Washinton as well, and it's actualy chilly today! So, it's winter almost all year. We use fleece, sweatpants, and also babylegs now. If you get the narrow cuff (comfort cuff) ones, they don't leave those awful red marks and strangle the baby's legs.

I live in Phoenix, so I don't know if these would be warm enough.

Wal Mart sells thin knit pants (kid connection) in assorted colors that match the T-shirts. They are loose enough to fit over a cloth diaper, and cost under $4.00 a pair. You can't miss them, they take up half the baby section.

If he's a real chunky baby, you can buy a toddler size, and cut the bottom of the legs off. That would be very easy to hem. You could even put elstic in the cuff when you hem it, so they don't ride up to his knees.

Anyway, I love those pants, they are my favorite.

Re: CDing just great, until winter

we have a couple pairs of old navys fleece pants i got for 4.00 and one for 1.99
i know at least 2 of them will fit this year, i only got one pair that FIT fit last year.
you could get wool, look at fsot for wool, thats a good place to start, or look at recycled, or recycling your own from sweaters. you could also just use some really trim diapers, and not have the problem. a lot of ai2 are pretty trim and with those they have soakers that arent sewn in soyou can just get extra soakers and have it be longer lasting.

Re: CDing just great, until winter

You could try diapers that are not t&t to cut down on the redness. Mine aren't and they are AIO and pretty trim under clothes, but the sale right not is free shipping. I do run the $9 sales on them though, and they last a super long time. I have a chunka munk dd and she never has red marks after wearing them. I hope you find something, I'm rootin' for you for #2!

Maybe if you try a trimmer insert...like BabyKicks Hemparoos. I found that all my dipes are significantly trimmer b/c of these inserts. Daisy Doodles are great...one of my fave AI2s b/c of their trimness and cuteness!!!

Re: CDing just great, until winter

what about prefolds snappied under a pull on cover like dappi? That is super trim. Another diaper I like for trimness that works pretty well is a little beetle. I'd love to find a new more of the size one for this winter to use under clothes.
You can find them sometimes on the fsot for around $10 .... and at least the dappi nylon covers are really cheap
www.integritydiapers.com has great prices for them
good luck!!!!!!
