One dumb wet bag question.

Okay... tonight I got a brainwave about making some family wipes for myself since I'm doing CD laundry anyhow.

I have a small wetbag that I would like to use for my wipes ( we keep a big paint bucket in the tub for diapers... but I'm worried about the 5 X 5 wipes getting lost in the washer)... so here comes the dumb question...

Can I just throw the wetbag into the laundry with the wipes in it or do I need to empty them out before washing? I've never used a PUL wetbag before... and it sure would be nice not have to get a lingerie bag for family wipes.

Thanks for answering one sleep-deprived... yet still somehow creative... mama's dumb question

I wash my wipes for the diapers all the time loose and haven't lost a one yet. I would probably empty them from the wetbag and maybe turn the wetbag inside out and throw it in, just to make sure it gets clean.

I was my diaper wipes loosey-goosey too... The problem with my personal wipes is that I've used recycled flannel... so some are pretty small... on second thought, they might be just fine... yeesh.. I need sleep...

Re: One dumb wet bag question.

PUL is intended to keep wet in; I don't imagine they'd get clean in and PUL bag. I'd toss them in the wash with the rest of the family cloth - or possibly get a large net type laundry bag to wash them in.

Re: One dumb wet bag question.

Don't know if this is answering the actual question, but I know with Bummis wetbags it is better to wash the bag itself on cold delicate than the hot washes that my diapers go through. Otherwise the inner waterproofing kinda peels off. PLMK if that doesn't make sense. I don't handle my recent insomnia too well.
