Does she make these covers from scratch (don't worry, there will be a link at the end), or does she buy them as blanks and just do the dying?

she makes the covers herself. she designed the pattern, buys the fabric, dyes the fabric and sews all the pieces together.

the shirts the buys and then either dyes or hand paints.

It took her a long time to design the diapers and covers and also to learn how to dye.
