good AI2 for a newborn?

I've decided to stick with AI2s for my "new baby" stash. What do ya'll recommend? Also I was thinking of skipping newborn diapers, and just using sposies until he fits in smalls. My DD was 12 lbs at 6 weeks, and I don't want to waste money that I don't have on diapers that we will grow out of so fast KWIM? I've noticed that some size small diapers say they start at like 8 lbs which is about what I'm expecting him to weigh, so we should be fine right?

I just started making ai2's with my newest pattern. I sold the first one as a second cuz it had some stitching inperfections. I do customs mostly.

I don't do AI2's, but I make AIO's that have all the perks of an AI2 because the soaker is not sewn in a hidden layer and doesn't take forever to dry. I They fit the smallest babies and even fit a 4 month old that I babysit (but she is on the smaller side). Free shipping too. The link is in my siggy.

You might still have to do sposies. Abby was 8lbs at birth, but her legs were still so chicken legged. Of course, she's got rolls now (at two months), but she's still long and lean so she's still wearing some NB stuff. LOL

The only AI2 I have right now, and have been using since Ivy was born, is a JamTots Berry Plush. It's works great for us, and has a nice fit.
