Would you help support making home births in Alabama legal?

All I want for Christmas is the law changed to where once again woman can choose to birth at home legally in the State of Alabama.Literally, when family ask me this is what I have been saying I want

There is a call for letters from the Senator that may help determine his co-sponsorship on our next Bill.

I am typing out the info that was sent to me by the midwives that delivered my last three babies. I had to switch midwives this time to one that is in Tennessee to be able to get close to the birth I want.It can't legally be in my home

If you know anyone in Alabama or that meets the criteria PLEASE ask them to write.

Senator Griffith from District 7 wants to hear from us BY NEXT WEEK! He wants everyone from all over the State of Alabama to write him,not just his district.

Here's who needs to write:

Every Family who lives in Alabama who thinks Midwives are a great idea (think CHOICE) this can also include your mom,dad,uncle,aunt,friend..just please write a seperate letter)

Every Family who lives in Alabama who uses Midwives for out of Hospital births

Every family who used to live in Alabama but moved away and uses midwives

And ESPECIALLY every family who moved to Alabama and used Midwives in other States but now have difficulty finding one in Alabama!

He does not need birth stories.Just the facts so he can say "I have a stack of 500 letters from families that want access to Midwives who provide out of hospital births or home births"

i wont be having a homebirth myself (im seriously too chicken, lol) but i think everyone who wants one, ANYWHERE, should be allowed to have one!! good luck!
