Who has a side-sleeper???

Ds is working on rolling over but seems to get stuck and fall asleep on his "side" or some weird version of it. So are there any tricks to not getting leaks when they sleep on their sides??

We are pocket users so if there are any pocket tips those would be great!

So far I've been to chicken to try wool, but if I have to I suppose I'll learn to be a big girl.

Re: Who has a side-sleeper???

Ben's a side-sleeper and has been from day 1. The only thing that works is microfiber in his pocket. For overnight I use mf and hemp, but the mf has to be on top. Hemp just didn't absorb quickly enough so I got leaks. The MF towels work really well for us

Re: Who has a side-sleeper???

We switched from pockets to fitteds at night with my ds who is a side sleeper, because he kept leaking in his pockets, no matter what combo or hemp or microfiber I used.

I notice with his fitted that he is soaked all the way around the side on the side he sleeps - since there is no way to get any absorbancy in pockets in that area, it is no wonder he leaked!

We use wool all day, but use windpro fleece at night - the few times I've tried even my most bulletproof wool, we've gotten leaks at night.

I've got a side-sleeper. No leaks in fitteds and wool...he sometimes has leaks around the legs when he wears pockets...

Re: Who has a side-sleeper???

Is this common. My ds is only 2 months old and has always slept on his side... No leaks ever... maybe it's a pocket thing.. We do aio with covers.

Re: Who has a side-sleeper???

We had to switch to a fitted and pull up wool. She always leaked through the legs in sposies, or anything that wasn't coved by a pull-up wool. I tried a side snapping wool and it leaked too Hope this helps.

Re: Who has a side-sleeper???

Thanks ladies!! Maybe I'll try some windpro fleece. I think it's the separate laundry for wool and keeping track of it that makes me "chicken" to try it.
