Serge or Turned and topstitched fitteds?

Which do you prefer? If you feel like lising why go ahead.

It doesnt really matter much to me but if I HAD to decide......I still dont know which I would prefer

I said TT, that would be my first choice but it really doesn't matter much to me.

I don't have a serger (yet)... so if I make any wipes for just myself, I always turn and topstitch

well if I am making them serging is MUCH faster, but I like the look of the T&T, it is much cleaner looking to me.

Re: Serge or Turned and topstitched fitteds?

Wipes DEFFINATELY serge (or is it surge?). Unfortunately a lot of serged wipes don't get secured at the corners/ends so they start to fall apart and look messy. I spend the time to tie off all my ends. Takes FOREVER but the serging looks fab and they last throught tons of washes.

For diapers, T&T but that's because I've yet to make a diaper and serge it! I'm scared! LOL

But, for the diapers I have they are serged on the inside so it doesn't matter.

I've seen diapers with serging on the outside (edges) and I love the look of it especially if the maker is consistant and does a good job.

ETA: I've gotten some wipes that were T&T and the lines were wavy so it made my opinion of T&T wipes go bad...lol. If the topstitching lines were straight and consistant I'd like that too.

But, yeah, if you serge and don't tie off and secure the ends then they look horrible. I think a lot of ppl get a bad opinion of serging because the makers don't do that extra step. JMHO

T&T here too...I don't like that sometimes the serging starts to come undo...plus they do look really nice T&T.

Re: Serge or Turned and topstitched fitteds?

i like both, actually, i liked serged a lot better for a while, and im still debating it some days, but the t&t ones dug in his thighs sooo badly, i felt so bad!! i like how the elastic is with serged ones..
it depends on the style which i like better for looks though, mostly tt for sidesnap, and both for front/aplix/tt/whatever
