Subbing! I know how to knit, but I have been wanting to expand my crocheting for a while; this is perfect! Thanks for a great tutorial with awesome pics

I have one question about working in the round. Everytime you come around to the beginning of the circle, do you slip stich, or do you just sc round and round with no slip stiches?

With this pattern, when I get to the end of the first round at the bottom of the waistband (the first row of the body), I guess I do a slip-stitch of sorts and then just keep going, so I am really doing it in the round and don't have to deal with it after that first row. I don't know if that makes sense at all, it may make more sense when you get to that spot.

Re: Instructions: Single crocheting shorties/longies & turning shorties into longies

Thanks for the reply. I've started and pulled it apart 3 times because I keep doing slip stiches at the end of the rounds each time I come to the end, and it seems to be adding stitches, and of course in turn, I'm getting wavies at that part. So, I'll try it the way you described, by just going round and round (and only a slip stitch in the first round). I'm doing mine with my first batch of hand spun wool. I'll take a picture once it comes along. I think I'll ask you some questions about the short rows when I get to them. Thanks so much!
