My Mood:
what fabric for wipes?

I sew so I'd rather make my own cheaper but I'm wondering what fabric I should use?

Re: what fabric for wipes?

Most people like flannel since its soft...but sometimes theres one side thats a higher pile fabric, like sherpa or velour!

Re: what fabric for wipes?

I vote for sherpa and darn near anything. I don't care for the way flannel fades and pills, but they're wipes so who cares.

I would have to say velour and sherpa are probably my fave.

Re: what fabric for wipes?

I just cut up some fleece and used Dixie drops on them. They are perfect! They are so soft on my twins bums. They glide so smoothly and clean them really well. I got the fleece for $3.49 a yard at JoAnn's and I only used 1 yeard to make around 40 wipes. No sewing required!

I've heard you can make no sew wipes by cutting up an old sweat shirt. If you decide to do that, let me know how it works.
