Re: Due in December???

I just did this a few months ago ...

A few changes of underware (I used up the mesh ones they give you, and then used up my extras I brought)
3 nursing bra's (I leak like mad and ended up leaking through 2 bras, and had to have my boyfriend bring another)
hairbrush
hair tie
toiletries (that first shower afterwards is the best shower ever so I prepared for it with a bath puff and a nice scented shower gel, shampoo and conditioner)
Lip balm
plenty of nursing pads (I used a TON of them)
Comfy change of clothes for going home
a pillow to sit on on the way home (I tore really bad, and leather seats are not so cushy)
A couple of outfits for the baby (just in case you can't make up your mind, or there's a mess made)
camera (extra batteries or charger, film if needed)
cell phone (and the charger!)
slipper socks (with non skid soles, some hospitals won't let you wear normal socks because of slip hazard)
something to read (I took the last HP book as it had just come out)
snacks for your s/o and clothes if he's staying with you

Re: Due in December???

due on the 12th and haven't packed anything..... I guess I kind of feel like if I don't pack now there won't be a chance of him coming early. Dh still has 3 weeks left in his final semester and I don't want him to have the added stress of a nb and finals
This is our first and wanted to know if there is a different way of cleaning the "first" icky diaper of a nb? I got a nb sample sposie and thought of using it because I've heard the first poo is just gross. Is this true

Thanks
Karolina

So it will stain the diaper or totally ruin it? What do you use for liners? I've seen fleece....but all our fitteds are fleece lined.

Thank you

Re: Due in December???

Im due next wednesday (the 28th) but will probably still be pregnant in Dec... I have my bag and a diaper bag packed - nothing for DH, he is a big boy and can handle that on his own. In my bag I have...

20 always ultra thin maxis - I hate the thick ones at the hospital
6 pairs granny panties
1 nursing bra - I dont leak a lot
3 pairs of nursing pads
travel - shampoo, conditioner, soap, face wash, hairspray, tooth paste and brush, hand sanitizer and lotion.
1 travel blow dryer - I actually bought it just for this
curling iron
3 shirts, one long sleeve and two short sleeve
2 pair pj pants
3 pair socks
and at the last minute I will throw in my make up. I think that is it!

for my nb I packed:

2 cd's for going home - Im going to use the hospitals first
1 onsie
1 pair of socks
1 outfit
1 blanket
1 burp cloth
wipes

I think that is it, I think I might pack a few more sleepers depending on how warm they keep my recovery room.
